Inter-library loans

If you need access to material that UEL does not have then you can request it as an inter-library loan and we will try to supply it from another library.

Requesting an inter-library loan

Sign in to your Library Account through Library Search and click on ILL request (across the top of the page).

Complete the form providing the information requested.

Under Citation type:

  • select Book if you want us to provide you with a book or a chapter from a book
  • select Article is you want a journal article or conference paper

What happens next?

You will receive an email to your UEL email address to confirm your request.

Library staff will check to see if you are eligible for an inter-library loan.  They will also check to ensure that we do not already have access to the item(s) requested.  If we do have access they will cancel the request and get in touch with you explaining how to access to the item.

Library staff will update you, and you will receive an email when the item is available to collect, online or physically.
