UEL Library Christmas and Winter break starts 24th December.

Docklands and Stratford Library buildings will close at 5pm on the 24th of December and reopen again at 8am on the 27th of December 2024. 

Both Library buildings will otherwise remain open 24 hours during the Christmas and Winter break.

 24/7 Chat will still operate to support your queries, though services may be limited. 

Face-to-face support availability

• Monday 23rd of December - from 9am to 5pm
• Tuesday 24th of December - from 9am to 12 noon
• Wednesday 25th of December to Wednesday 1st of January 2025 - no face-to-face support available, all library staff will be on leave
• Thursday 2nd of January 2025 - Sunday 26th of January 2025 - face-to-face support available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
• Monday 27th of January 2025 - standard term-time hours resume with face-to-face support available from 9am to 7pm, Monday to Friday

The archive will be closed for the entire Christmas and Winter break.
